A SPECIAL ONE-OFF RESIDENTIAL WEEKEND
GETTING ACQUAINTED WITH THE DEEPER ASPECTS OF
THE RUBY CARE FOUNDATION’S WORK

31st MAY – 1st JUNE INCLUSIVE

at the rural facility of WAUNIFOR in South Wales

The Ruby Care Foundation is holding a one-off weekend of intensive work around death, dying and bereavement on Saturday 31st May & Sunday 1st June 2008 (arriving Friday evening departing Sunday evening) with a view to holding further such weekends if desired. This is for anybody who has expressed an interest in who we are and what we do, those already caring for the dying and bereaved who would like to hone existing skills, and really anybody who would like to come along.

This is not ‘training’ as such, more dipping into the very deep well of understandings about the dying and bereavement processes. Some of what we will look at are: fears and taboos, psychologies at play, Acceptance, Settlement and Fortification (the foundational Tripod of the RCF), the realities of counselling, the three stages of an integrated life the Dominata, Gyrating & Ebbing, preparing for death (yours or another’s) - and pretty much anything and everything that may arise in such a circumstance. There will be space for inter-active conversation including dealing with fears and our own psychologies, and meditative dwelling toward settlement.

The weekend will be held at a beautiful residential facility in South Wales where the RCF holds all our intensive courses. This comprises a number of lovely Welsh stone cottages set in a peaceful rural outreach with extensive grounds and well-appointed meeting rooms. We will meet from 10.00am to 6.00pm each day. The cost for the whole weekend is £300 per person which includes meals, accommodation and everything needed for a comfortable stay. If you book in advance with a £20 non-returnable deposit there is a 10% discount.

Do let us know as soon as possible whether you can come along as there is limited space and we will have to book on a first-come first-served basis.

If you want further details do mail us on or print off the booking form and return together with your payment.
